Make your own business cards

When you attend conferences or go to job interviews having a few business cards with your email address and phone number is often useful. Unfortunately, when the graduate student council investigated the possibility of getting business cards for graduate students, we found that printers are unwilling to make less than 250 cards and the cost is at least $25. As an alternative, several graduate students have come up with latex templates for making business cards. Two of these templates are compatible with the Avery Business Card products. For around $10 at Office Depot you can get an Avery Business Card set that includes 25 sheets of paper that is perforated to make 10 business cards per page. To make any of these cards, you will need a postscript copy of the Rice logo

If you prefer framemaker, you can use this template. You will also need the Rice logo overlay. The overlay should be printed in blue ink and the final card on gray paper. Kinko's can help you with that.
