August 1999, Colorado |
I graduated with a Ph.D. in the field of digital signal/image processing under the guidance of Prof. Richard Baraniuk in June 2003. My dissertation was titled Inverse Problems in Image Processing. My areas of research interest include digital signal and image processing theory and applications including restoration, segmentation, compression, halftoning; wavelets; color; pattern analysis; graphical models; communications. I have taken courses such as DSP, Wavelets, Information theory, Random processes, Wireless Communications, Detection theory, Spectral analysis, Networks, Real analysis, Functional analysis, Multifractals, Algorithms, etc. I worked on course projects such as Time varying AR systems, Wavelet transforms via Lifting, TCP over Wireless, and Coding for bursty data, and Graph isomorphism. PublicationsHere is a list of publications that I have authored. Please feel free to comment on them. My email address is neelsh At rice dot edu . Here is my Latex Bib file which contains a ton of bibliography entries. |
